Panel Debate
This is modelled on the highly successful panel debate series run by The Triple Helix in Cambridge. Three or four speakers will present their views on a topic of current interest in science and society, mediated by a chairperson. The speakers will be leading figures from science, politics and the media. Attendees will then pose questions to the panel. This format allows for presentation of multiple view points, and for a high level of audience participation (cięcie laserowe).

Poster Presentations
Attendees will have the option to prepare posters (either individually or in groups) before the conference, exploring any topic within science in society. Posters may be authored individually or in groups. The conference will include a poster session, where attendees will discuss their work with their peers and with the Triple Helix team. Attendees will receive written feedback on their posters. This session will give pupils a head-start in a key avenue of scientific research communication, and will be an opportunity to showcase their own work and interests.

Debating Workshop
Attendees will be given 1 hour to prepare for a debate on an unseen topic in groups of around 12. This session will be modelled on the usual structure of a Triple Helix outreach workshop, which has proved very successful in encouraging pupils to engage with new issues, work as a team and consider different points of view to their own.

Conference Pack
All attendees will be given a conference pack including a collection of editions of the Cambridge Science in Society Review, details of programmes on offer by The Triple Helix outreach, and details about the conference itself. As well as providing a memento for the day, these will be valuable and interesting resources for both pupils and teachers to share with their schools.
